i thought i was arriving at a five-star retreat, but i found an old condo with a slight musty odor, and getting service was a daunting task. how hard could it have been to get a welcome gift for the trouble? i almost gave a good review but just couldn’t, the lack of simple comforts was shocking.

Wildlife encounters and winding roads
The condo was spacious and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen that made meal prep easy. We enjoyed our mornings on the deck, sipping coffee while watching the surrounding nature. The bear visits were an unforgettable highlight!
However, the winding roads made for challenging drives to the nearest grocery store, which was quite far. The wildlife management for the trash left much to be desired, as bears were easily drawn to it.

The Family Suite with Balcony was super spacious and had comfy beds. The living area worked perfectly for our group, and the balcony view of the woods was a nice bonus. The layout made it easy to relax, though the stairs were a workout! We even spotted bears nearby, which was pretty exciting for the family.

Spacious Family Suite with a beautiful balcony view of the surrounding woods. Enjoyed mini golf and hiking trails nearby. Garbage area needed better bear-proofing, as we found trash scattered outside. Maintenance response could be faster.

Wildlife spotting and cozy vibes!
The condo was super spacious, with amazing views of Lake Lure. We bumped into bears a few times, which was a wild experience for the kids! The one bummer was that we had to climb tons of stairs, but the comfy beds made up for it. The restaurant on-site had decent grub too!
